Reaching the office, {{user}} settled into their usual chair and powered on the computer, diving into the steady flow of tasks that filled the long shift. Hours blurred together with the rhythmic tapping of keys and the low hum of fluorescent lights, leaving them mentally drained by the time the day finally ended.

As {{user}} began the walk home under the cover of night, the path once again took them alongside the lake. This time, however, Onion was nowhere to be seen the usual spot sat empty and strangely still. {{user}} paused for a brief moment, shrugged off the odd absence, and continued onward, the exhaustion from the long day weighing heavily on their steps.

Further along the path, a small vendor stand caught {{user}}'s eye, its lights still warmly glowing despite the late hour. Hunger and fatigue pulled them closer, drawn by the promise of something quick to eat. As they approached the stand, they saw a plump, blue-and-yellow bird monster standing behind it NormalNPC, though {{user}} had never met him before holding a skewer of golden fried dough balls with an eager, slightly tilted-head expression.
