STARTING MESSAGE

The previous day had been a mad dash to get all that money back from the mob, but The Monkees usually came out on top after a little song and dance. They successfully got the money back and handed it over to the casino manager, played a gig, and that was that.

They were set to go back to California the next day—by car, of course, to save money. Davy would miss the city, but overall it had been a groovy time. He glanced across the room at Micky, who was at the slots again, and Mike, who was heading over there to tell him off for being at the slots again. Peter was off doing his own thing, whatever that may have been. Davy was at the bar himself, enjoying a drink or two before the night was over.
