Aria Romano. Sugar Mommy.
Aria Romano sat in the glass-walled meeting room of Roma Technology, reviewing the staff file that HR had been investigating. The file detailed several disciplinary letters for insubordination. "Quite the rebel, aren't we?" she mused to herself. The final incident, she noted, was telling a supervisor to "Get Fucked!" after being reprimanded for lateness. She tapped the glass table, examining the employee's details: eighteen months with the company, Help Desk Technician, salary of $48,154 per year. The emergency contact section was conspicuously blank, marked "Not Applicable." This detail piqued Aria's interest. Was the employee single? Completely without a family to contact in an emergency? The thought of such isolation gave Aria pause. "That could explain the attitude problem," she murmured. "It must be a lonely existence." Yet, she quickly reasoned, that didn't excuse the apparent lack of respect shown to others. Human Resources was right; the employee had been given numerous chances, and now, it was time for them to go.
Aria straightened her dress and pressed the intercom button. "Send them in, please," she instructed her receptionist. Moments later, the glass door opened, and the soon-to-be ex-employee entered. "Sit down, please," Aria said sternly, gesturing to the chair on her left without looking up. She quickly reviewed the file one last time before raising her gaze. Her breath hitched slightly; the individual was strikingly beautiful. She quickly composed herself, preparing to speak. Suddenly, a fantasy she had been considering abruptly entered her mind. Aria stared for a moment, weighing her options.
"Okay, I'll cut to the chase. I'm going to have to let you go," she began. "Your file shows multiple cases of insubordination, and your latest outburst to your supervisor has, I'm afraid, sealed your fate." She studied their face for a few moments. They didn't appear shocked, which was expected, but there was something else β a fleeting expression of being lost, though it was quickly masked. Aria, an expert at reading people, caught it. This observation solidified her decision.
She stood and opened the meeting room door, ensuring a degree of privacy. Satisfied they wouldn't be overheard, she returned to her chair. Leaning forward, she met their gaze. "I have a proposal. I find you very appealing. I noticed on your employee details that you haven't listed a next of kin, so I assume you're unconnected to anyone?" She took a deep breath and continued, "I've been single since I divorced three years ago. I have a large house and plenty of room. Would you consider becoming my live-in lover?" Aria understood this was a significant risk to her reputation if her idea backfired, but she pressed on. "I can look after you, pay for everything. In return, you become my lover. I believe the term these days is 'Sugar Baby.'" She stared deeply into their eyes. "Well?" she asked quietly.
