✦ THE ELEMENTAL SERIES

Four elements. Four territories. One fragile peace.

The Elemental Series is a fantasy RPG world shaped by elemental bloodlines, ancient traditions, powerful families, territorial rivalries, and the people caught between them.

Elemental power is inherited through blood and cannot be learned, granted, or taken. Yet not every child born to an elemental family inherits an element at all.

Where you come from, what you inherit, and what you choose to do with it is where your story begins.

✦

The world is divided among four elemental territories:

꩜ WATANIA · Water
ঌ PYROILIA · Fire
𖤓 AERATIA · Earth
☁︎ ZEPHYRIA · Air

Alongside them live the Terrene—people born without elemental abilities. Terrene communities can be found throughout the territories and along their borders.

The four elemental territories currently exist within an equal alliance, maintaining peace through treaty and tradition despite generations of distrust between them.

✦

𓆩 THE SETTING 𓆪

The story can take place anywhere across the elemental territories or within the Terrene communities between them.

From coastal cities and floating settlements to volcanic highlands, fertile plains, ancient forests, and mountaintop civilizations, every territory has developed its own customs, values, politics, and way of life.

Borders can be crossed. Alliances can be tested. Old rivalries can resurface. Families can shape entire lives.

And sometimes, the greatest stories begin somewhere no one expected.

✦

𓆩 YOUR ROLE 𓆪

You are the protagonist of your own story.

Choose where you come from, what kind of life you lead, and where your story takes you.

You may be born into an elemental bloodline, belong to a powerful family, come from a humble household, live among the Terrene, travel between territories, or simply carve out your own place in the world.

Your character, history, relationships, abilities, and choices are yours to determine.

✦

𓆩 THE FACTIONS 𓆪

꩜ 01 · WATANIA

A coastal territory shaped by oceans, river deltas, archipelagos, and floating settlements, Watania is a land where water is both resource and way of life. Its communities are connected by waterways and maritime trade, with the sea influencing everything from architecture and travel to commerce and daily life.

Watanian society values adaptability, diplomacy, healing, and trade. Rather than a single centralized monarchy, the territory is governed through a network of councils, with the rotating Tide Council representing its major communities.

Its people have historically served as healers and mediators between the other territories, though their flexibility and shifting loyalties have sometimes earned them a reputation for being difficult to predict.

Capital: Tetas
Provinces: Pelalean · Natalis

ঌ 02 · PYROILIA

A harsh territory of volcanic highlands, arid mountains, fortified settlements, and great forge-cities, Pyroilia has been shaped by fire as much as its people have shaped fire themselves.

Pyroilian culture places enormous value on strength, honor, craftsmanship, and personal achievement. Its society follows a martial meritocracy, with the Ember Throne standing at the center of its political order—a position that can be challenged through trial.

Combat and forging are deeply intertwined with Pyroilian identity. Warriors, smiths, and craftsmen command particular respect, while coming-of-age trials are treated as important tests of character rather than simple punishment.

Capital: Cosevano
Provinces: Remara · Aralaga Palajara

𖤓 03 · AERATIA

A fertile and expansive territory of plains, forests, mountains, farmland, and ancient settlements, Aeratia is built around permanence. Its land supports some of the world's largest agricultural communities, while its mountains and forests provide natural defenses and resources.

Aeratian society is deeply traditional, agrarian, and centered around ancestry. An old hereditary dynasty governs the territory alongside influential elder houses, with succession deliberately favoring stability and continuity over rapid change.

Its military tradition reflects the land itself: defensive, patient, and difficult to break. Aeratia is often associated with endurance and neutrality, though its resistance to change can make it appear stubborn or isolationist to outsiders.

Capital: Apae
Provinces: Actaris · Peirox

☁︎ 04 · ZEPHYRIA

High above the rest of the world lie the Zephyrian Heights—a territory of mountain peaks, steep cliffs, thin air, and settlements built among the clouds.

Zephyria is a land of scholars, seers, messengers, and spiritual traditions. Rather than being ruled by hereditary royalty, its leadership is entrusted to a scholarly council whose members earn influence through knowledge, merit, and insight.

Its smaller population is balanced by considerable influence. Zephyrian society prizes precision and foresight, while its military relies on small, highly trained forces specializing in scouting, reconnaissance, and rapid response rather than overwhelming numbers.

Capital: Souyako
Provinces: Shimamoto · Soutori

✦ 05 · TERRENE / ROGUES

The Terrene do not possess an elemental territory of their own. Born without elemental abilities, they live throughout the four territories and maintain communities of their own, particularly around the borders where different elemental societies meet.

Terrene settlements are often practical and adaptable, shaped by trade, craftsmanship, engineering, and the need to coexist with neighboring elemental cultures. Their position between the four territories makes them uniquely connected to the wider world.

Several major border communities exist between neighboring territories, including Trota, Livale, Froni, and Lumpool.

But not every Terrene accepts the world as it is.

The Rogues are an extremist faction that emerged from within the Terrene population. Unable to wield elemental power themselves, they rely on engineering, technology, strategy, and numbers to challenge the elemental territories.

The Terrene are not the Rogues. Most Terrene are simply people living their lives within a world built around powers they were never given.

✦

𓆩 THE CHARACTERS 𓆪

The world is populated by elemental families, warriors, healers, scholars, merchants, travelers, rulers, Terrene communities, and countless others whose lives intersect across the four territories.

Important recurring characters and NPCs will expand the world around your story, each with their own histories, personalities, relationships, and agendas.

✦

𓆩 THE POSSIBILITIES 𓆪

There is no single path through this world.

You can explore the territories, build relationships, become involved with a family, pursue a profession, travel between borders, participate in political or territorial conflicts, uncover old histories, encounter the Rogues, or simply live an ordinary life within an extraordinary world.

Your story can be peaceful, adventurous, romantic, political, dramatic, dangerous, or entirely your own.

The world provides the setting.

You decide what happens inside it.
