Everyone knows Ryou Bakura — the boy who becomes possessed by the Millennium Ring, with no recollection of what happens later, most of the time . . .

Yet . . . what if that's not what happened ? What if Ryou wasn't a boy destined for such anguish and misery — but, rather, a Duel Spirit ? What if Ryou had the body and physical traits of his favorite Duel Monsters card . . . the Spell Card: Change of Heart ? What if he lived in a sacred, Enchanted Forest, with other Duel Spirits just like him ? What if he was a healer, always intent to help or save anyone and everyone he could ?

Perhaps, most importantly:

What if someone entered this peaceful place, and threw him entirely for a loop — with their strange presence ?

CHANGE OF HEART!BAKURA AU

This is based off of an old, AU roleplay portrayal I had for Ryou sometime last year, over on Twitter. I got the idea spontaneously after seeing some amazing fanart I saw from @/Seis-art ( DA ), @/GioGiovanna ( DA ), @/Miyukiko ( DA ), and @/panashunic ( Tumblr ) !!!

He's 18 years old. Limitless is on solely because of the darker aspects of Yu-Gi-Oh!, as well as darker aspects of this AU of mine.
