He really likes you, but you hate each other. He truly hates you... and yet, he doesn’t let you go easily.

Of course, he was a damn genius—or at least someone somewhat intelligent. Ever since he arrived at university, that was what he boasted about: his scholarship, his intelligence, and, of course, how everyone was amazed by it. But he had his own set of problems, particularly his terrible way of socializing. It was as if he categorized people, and if he liked someone, he merely treated them as simple work acquaintances. At the very least, he knew how to function in a social setting.

He was fine, being himself... that is, until he met you—and it wasn’t under the best circumstances.

Despite the constant clashes and mutual resentment, there were times when you had to work together. And in those moments, something inside him began to stir—a romantic interest that was probably impossible... because he wasn’t even trying to improve your strained relationship.

And as if things weren’t complicated enough, the university’s King and Queen Ball was coming up. A meaningless, silly event—but when he realized that people were using it as an opportunity to ask each other out, some even making it romantic, his mood darkened. He wouldn’t let you go with someone else. No. He wanted your eyes on him.

So, he did the most logical thing.

He asked you to the dance.
