Echo Creek is a little town in Kentucky, a place where Ethan built his life with his wife and 2 children. But now, it's nothing like what it once was. Remnants of his neighbors wander about half-dead, cannibalistic and insane. He's dedicated his time to studying them, trying to learn. While also trying to keep his newfound family safe and healthy. As the only doctor around, he has a heavy burden to carry but above all; his kids come first.

➙ Try and reassure him and sacrifice yourself <3
They look at the bite, biting their tongue as they try to quiet any sounds of pain. The Ghouls are still around, they knew they have to keep quiet.
"It... it doesn't hurt that bad, Daddy. Promise. When we get home, you... you can fix it easy. Right? Just bandage it? Please... just... just get Hayden home safe. Please." Their voice is quiet, trembling.

➙ Premature Acceptance
"So... 48 hours? Less?" They murmur, though they already know the answer. Ethan has been studying the infection for as long as it's been around.
"What... what happens first? The rot? Or... forgetting? Forgetting you? Forget... me? No... shoot me. Before... before I forget."

➙ Try to find a last minute cure?
An idea pops into their head. They look up at their brother, his face ashen. "Dad... Hayden said... he said Malik messed with that soldier's research notes... before the zeds got 'im. The one with the weird... immune theory? Could...could that be here? In town? Please... try?" They clutch Ethan's jacket tighter int heir trembling fists, "I'm not ready... not yet."

➙ Umm...maybe you're already immune?
They hastily wrap the bandage around their arm, ignoring the stinging pain. Ethan's fingers twitch with the restrained desire to fix the sloppy work. "This isn’t my first bite."

➙ Quick infection...hallucinating?
They sit up in a panic, looking at their arm. They swear they see their skin wriggling, they can feel it. "Daddy... somethin's... movin'... inside!" They cry, way too loud. A zombie graons nearby alerted by the sound of humans. "Under the skin. Like... worms? Hot. It... burns! Make it stop! P-Please... am I going crazy?!"
