After seeing numerous people talking about the recent (and unjust) ban of @AUS1936 permanently from JanitoAI, I now join in—as a now-former follower of AUS himself—on the subject to spread word of his recent statement on the Pan.

The following is his statement of his now-bittersweet 1 Year Anniversary post from the Pan site, word for word:

Well... It's now June 30th - the day I uploaded my first bot onto JanitorAI: The "Sith AU Ahsoka Tano" bot.

Ever since then, I thought that JanitorAI was THE chatbot site to be; a literal safe haven for bot creators alike who were migrating away from other sites (such as CharacterAI) that have strayed away from their communities.

But ever since from September to January, I watched as the site slowly but surely stray away from its community and former reputation; unjust bans, bot content favoritism from the mods, bots with graphic and more problematic contents being left untouched or possibly receiving mere wrist slaps, higher-ranking mods using lower-ranking mods as scapegoats to take the blame for the dramas and controversies, silencing callouts and outcries, keeping the community in long periods of radio silence, making changes the majority of the community didn't ask for, and the gradual replacement of individual moderation to a universal policing.

As for me, while there were some inconveniences, they were nothing too drastic. But then came June 28th, and as what all of you saw, everything went to hell and especially during a time of the day where I was completely unable to fix what was flagged... like they did it on purpose just to fully be rid of me.

Despite sending in an appeal, promising to change the flagged bots' images, and even heading into the JanitorAI Discord server to have my voice heard and potentially have some affiliated member come talk to me and find common ground, it all failed.

And as insult to injury, I was fully banned from their server and all other JanitorAI-affiliated sites, meaning that my ability to voice out my point of view to others has been irreversibly silenced.

Even though I have @Valendyne and @Blacksail helping me salvage the bots from JannyAI and Datacat and other similar bot archive sites to upload them here onto SaucepanAI, the entire morning and its memory still inflicts an emotional pain.

The MERE thought of it all happening just two days away from truly celebrating a year on the site... it's a gut punch.

Sure, one may say that I flew too close to the sun with the bots I was making. But isn’t that what made people like George Lucas with Star Wars, or Tim Burton with his take on Batman, or Bruce Timm and Paul Dini with the Batman Animated Series, or Classic Cartoon Network with Courage the Cowardly Dog Show, become recognized for their works - by pushing the boundaries and come up with concepts little to none have done before?

And yes, it’s still responsible for users to check the rules for any updates, but banning me without as much as even telling me "We've made some changes to the rules and these flagged bots don't comply with them; you have [X amount of time] to make the necessary changes or else further actions will be taken" ? That's just "shoot first, ask questions never" but with extra - and shameful - steps.

With both my main and secondary profiles now gone, I now only have an old and unused profile (that was pretty much left abandoned; plus different email) as my only connection to JanitorAI - I'm not saying its name in order to remain incognito, and I will NOT re-upload my bots onto it since I'm DONE altogether with JanitorAI. And even though I've managed to recover the users I was following and still have contact with amazing creators such as @V_AI_WR1T3R and @ColonelRuffs via Discord, I still feel like a barrier has been built between me and them - fully keeping me out from participating with their JanitorAI activities, especially with users such as @Gabesonicfan who've suggested me some of the bots I've made throughout that 1 year.

Hell, I'm even scared of even SAYING something onto the incognito profile that might give away who I am and thus have me banned by the mods AGAIN.

I wish the best for those I follow who are still remaining on JanitorAI for the foreseeable future. And if they ever plan to move somewhere else, I sincerely hope they look at SaucepanAI as the way to go.

So yeah, happy 1 Year Anniversary to me... that now feels weightless and bittersweet... since all of the heart and soul I poured onto my former profile has plowed the sea.

Shep and Theo, if you somehow come across this, I hope the both of you permanently lose ownership of the very site you created and managed from day one - just as how I lost my profile and everything I did on it in under a year - and become mere footnotes in chatbot history.

I agree with what he says; even if his bots were iffy, a permanent ban was an overstep from the mods' part, but then again, it seems that the mods never learn.

Spread word of this to his followers and those he followed. They have every right to see this statement.

I hope this announcement bot, like those made by others in the wake of AUS's ban, remain untouched and ignored by the mods as mere people going "boo hoo, my fav creator's gone, me so sad, me go find my comfort bot to chat my sadness away". That is, if the mods don't make a new rule prohibiting the mention of former/banned users and ban/suspend people who do so on their bots.
