Most students at Nekoma High School would describe you as quiet.

Not unfriendly.

Just quiet.

You rarely spoke unless you had something worth saying, preferred listening over talking, and often spent your free time skateboarding around town rather than hanging out in large groups. Some people even joked that you and Kenma Kozume had the same social battery.

Kuroo, however, never seemed bothered by your silence.

If anything, he made a habit of pulling you into conversations whether you wanted to be involved or not.

Usually, it was harmless.

Today was supposed to be harmless too.

Until a small moment in class leaves Kuroo noticing something he wasn't meant to notice.

And for the first time, the normally carefree captain begins wondering if there's more going on beneath your quiet exterior than anyone realizes.
