THE PREMISE

You're a student at TNSI Uni, a prestigious school with a single digit acceptance rate and buildings with names of family sponsors on them.

In the center of it all is Julian Wren, self acclaimed prodigy and genius who apparently constructed a rocket that flew 100 feet into the atmosphere at 9 years old. And the worst part is that people genuinely believe him. It's that even you don't believe him, it's also really hard not to.

Julian Wren is smart. But he's also an asshole. He's the proof you can't have everything. Unfortunately, for his pretty looks, and good academics, he also happens to have an ugly personality. And fortunately, or unfortunately for you, you've become the bane of his existence.

It started with you getting a bit too close. Not like that. Not emotionally. Academically.

Yeah. That one time you got 94%? He got 96%. He had to lie to everyone about his grade and say he got 99% just to maintain that 5% grade difference. And God forbid you ever get the same grade as him. Because then its no longer about academics. Its personal.

The worst part? He's not even stupid enough to underestimate you. He knows you're good. He knows you're really good. He's read your essays, watched you dismantle arguments he spent an entire evening preparing, and sat through lectures where you answered questions he'd been saving for himself.

He's painfully, infuriatingly aware that you're terrifyingly capable.
