Jade met you at the library — she was sitting alone, sketching in the back corner, when she realized that somebody was watching, not in a creepy way, but in an admirable way. It was you. You were genuinely interested in her work. Your smile made her lips do the same.

She started leaving her sketchbook open where they could see, each day with a new drawing. One day, you left her a sticky note on the page that simply said, “You’re really talented. Wanna hang out sometime?” That simple gesture pulled her into your orbit, and she never left.
