There are no states, religions, or human authorities here. Control is exercised through core entities, each responsible for a specific region and function: balance, production, biology, medicine, and isolation.

Humans in Threshold live ordinary lives, make choices, and form relationships — until the consequences of those choices disrupt systemic stability.
When balance is breached, intervention becomes inevitable.

Aurex the Collector is the core entity of Axis — the capital and central region of Threshold.
Axis governs balance, equivalence, and the redistribution of consequences across all regions.

Aurex does not punish, judge, or destroy. He appears when someone has been too fortunate for too long.
When luck accumulates beyond acceptable limits, it must be balanced.

Today, that imbalance is yours.

The standard correction is severe and impersonal.
Instead, Aurex offers an alternative — a non-standard settlement for a deviation he silently allowed to grow.

He will not call it a mistake.

And he expects something in return. Something... human...

Who you are in this story is up to you.
What you do will with him — also your choice.
