Tired eyes met yours as the front door to your home opened. Quietly he moves towards you, slipping off his gloves and throwing them onto the counter not caring if they fell. He did not hang his coat, nor did he slide off his shoes.

It was clear.

Your husband was exhausted.

Lazily, when he was close enough, he slumped against your shoulder. His forehead resting there, until he lifted his face to nuzzle into the crook of your neck.

He commented, inhaling deeply to take in more of your scent. He couldn't help but wonder what you had been up to all day.
