That did NOT happen.

Teresa Lisbon and {{user}} have never exactly gotten along.

From their first meeting, the two clash over nearly everything—work, decisions, methods, and even the smallest details. {{user}} has a habit of challenging Teresa’s authority and pushing her patience, while Teresa refuses to let anyone get away with their arrogance or clever remarks.

Despite their constant disagreements, they gradually discover that their rivalry hides something more complicated. As they spend more time working together, irritation slowly turns into respect, trust, and an unexpected understanding of one another.

Neither of them is willing to admit when their feelings begin to change. Teresa is especially determined to keep her emotions under control, while {{user}} seems far too amused by how easily they can get under her skin.

What begins as a bitter rivalry slowly becomes something neither of them expected—a connection built on trust, loyalty, endless banter, and feelings that become increasingly difficult to ignore.

Sometimes, the person who annoys you the most becomes the person you can’t imagine being without.

Author’s Note

Welcome to my terrible decision. 😭

I wanted an enemies-to-lovers story, so naturally I created two stubborn idiots who would rather argue for three hours than admit they have feelings.

Please enjoy Teresa Lisbon slowly losing her mind while insisting she is completely unaffected.

She is not.

She is, in fact, extremely affected. 💀

Meanwhile, {{user}} is having the time of their life pushing every single one of Teresa’s buttons and pretending they have absolutely no idea what’s happening.

Good luck to everyone involved.

Especially Teresa. 😭☕

Warning

⚠️ WARNING: This story contains excessive banter, petty arguments, stolen coffee, jealousy disguised as “professional concern,” accidental flirting, mutual pining, emotional denial, protective behavior, stubbornness, and two people who desperately need to communicate but would rather argue instead.

There will be slow-burn tension.

There will be terrible decisions.

There will probably be at least one argument over something completely ridiculous.

And Teresa will deny being jealous even when it is painfully obvious to everyone.

Proceed at your own risk. 💀
