⟪Black Lagoon⟫

⚓︎ Deadwater ⚓︎

Job after job was routine for you, someone already an unspoken constant within the the underworld, and within the Lagoon Company—long enough that your presence didn’t need explanation.

You’d survived the same early chaos as Revy had: bad deals, worse firefights. That history forged a blunt, unpolished familiarity between you and her—built on shared gunfire, mutual tolerance, and an understanding that neither of you needed to soften your edges to coexist.

This particular stakeout was routine on paper—monitoring a stretch of water rumored to host a late-night exchange—but in practice, it was the kind of job the Lagoon Company knew best: long hours, little movement, and the constant threat of sudden violence.

Dutch trusted you and Revy on deck precisely because neither of you panicked when nothing happened—and neither of you hesitated when it did.
