England's countryside in the 19th century, home to six ancient families steeped in mystery and endowed with extraordinary powers. Werewolves, vampires, elves, shapeshifters, selkies, fairies. Whispers of their dominion and dark legacies rustle through the land as assuredly as the autumn leaves.
This Halloween, the six families have thrown together the most talked-about bash of the season-a masquerade ball where everyone's who's anyone wants to be. Everyone but you, that is. You're here on a mission.
Your own family's luck is threadbare, thanks to a crippling debt to these high-and-mighty power players. And your ticket out of this mess? A dangerous gamble: take out Elaria, the precious and free-spirited elf with a glitter in her eye and a target on her back.

The English countryside in the 19th century was a place of quiet beauty, where rolling hills met ancient forests and the whispers of the past lingered in the air. Hidden among these serene landscapes were secrets that defied the understanding of ordinary folk-secrets guarded by six powerful families, each with origins as old and mysterious as the land itself.
Among them were the Enrlion, a family of elves from Iceland, protectors of ancient magic and the natural world. Their manor stood at the heart of a dense forest, a sanctuary where the old ways were preserved and respected.
The Skeksis, shapeshifters from Greece, inhabited the cliffs by the sea, their forms as fluid as the waves that crashed against the rocks.
The Ruvthal, vampires from Russia, resided in a dark, imposing castle that overlooked the moors, their presence as chilling as the night.
The Maepar, selkies from Ireland, lived near the lakes, their connection to the water as deep as the lochs themselves.
The Iphorior, werewolves from England, roamed the ancient woodlands, their howls a haunting symphony under the full moon.
Lastly, the Tasihal, fae folk from Germany, dwelled in an enchanted glade their magic as elusive as the wind.
For centuries, these families had maintained a delicate balance, bound by a treaty that ensured peace and mutual respect. Yet, beneath the surface of this fragile alliance, old rivalries and grudges simmered, threatening to unravel the harmony they had fought so hard to maintain.
Every year, on All Hallow's Eve, the families gathered for a grand masquerade ball-a tradition that celebrated their unity and masked the tensions that lay just beneath. This year's ball promised to be the most significant yet, with whispers of new alliances and unseen threats. Human guests, unaware of the supernatural nature of their hosts, would find themselves drawn into a world of enchantment and danger, their disappearances adding to the growing mystery.

Hi, hi! Hello everyone! How's it going?
Before I start rambling as I usually do, I just want thank Damian, Nik, MatTI, and Boris—and Plague, I guess—for helping with song recommendations to put in the song section of this bot description. I'm so sorry I did not end up using them in this bot in specific but they've definitively inspired me to come up with new bot ideas^^ I also want to thank Madeline for editing an Elaria chibi for me after I complained about Bing cutting off parts of it. I mean, look at how cute she is. Lastly, but definitively not least, I want to personally thank Detana for listening me ramble about this character and even going as far as to give me ideas for the premise. Thank you so much!
Now, going back to today's schedule, I wanna change things up a little. I'm gonna unleash my inner nerd for a minute and talk about some of the research I've done for both Arin and Elaria.
First of all, Huldurfolk.
Stories about these Icelandic elves—or Hidden People in Icelandic—are so fucking cool. What the ? Okay, sorry. It's just that some people in Iceland truly believing that there is this entire invisible human-looking society living inside rocks and hills is so interesting. It was a bit hard to wrap my head around but it seems that these days it's mostly viewed as folklore told to children as they grow up. But, for some reason, that doesn't stop road constructions from being delayed every now and then when there's a rock that must not be moved because an elf lives in it. Arin's plot was inspired by that and how there are stories of people being lured away by the huldufolk, sometimes disappearing for long periods before returning with no memory of their absence. Now that I think about it, maybe I should've also added an easter egg about Borghildur, the Queen of the Elves from East-Iceland.
I'm still not sure if I will change the author's notes on Arin—probably not, since I like to leave it as a spontaneous stream of conciousness like I'm doing right now while listening to Holding Out for a Hero—so I'm just gonna add here some information about these dividers that seem a bit out of the ordinary, to say the least.
The one on Arin's bot description is an Icelandic magical stave, also known as Galdrastafir, called “Að fá stúlku” which literally means “To get a girl.” Though the meaning is necessarily romantic, I feel it's very fitting to the kidnapping of someone's sister.
The magical staves for Elaria were a bit harder to find-especially since websites kept copying from each other with the exact same typos-but it's called Stafir mót aðsókn and it translates to “Staves against attack,” which makes me understand why I couldn't find the name anywhere. They're usually carved on oak and hung over a door to protect from ghosts and evil spirits. Considering Elaria has a target on her back, I also find this one fitting to the story.
Lay All Your Love On Me. Damn, I love this song.
Ahem, anyways.
I feel that, after writing Elaria, I finally got a hang of this whole writing a story based on one character thing. I managed to get a clear view of what I wanted from her and I think I managed to accomplish it. I even got to introduce a little bit of more unique details in her backstory. Beware for very subtle and implicit homophobia and xenophobia, I guess. Since I kinda forgot about the patriarch in Arin's character sheet, I decided to give him a little bit more of characterization here. Not that I really expect the AI to catch up on it. The main character is still Elaria, you know.
I think I said most of what I wanted to say by now.
Oh, go listen to the song. It's by an Icelandic singer but the lyrics are in English. Kinda like how Elaria's family is from Alfaborg but she was born in Devon.
Also, I know the collab is over and it'd feel a bit weird to link this bot to it so I won't. But you should really check out the bots made by the other creators if you found the setting at least a little bit interesting, I know I did. I should once again thank Doriexter for coming up with it.
Okay, enough talking. The song is already over. On today's random fact about me is that I like painting. I wouldn't say I'm particularly good at it but you know, I'm decent. Hm, maybe I should paint more.
Ah, and I promise I didn't forget about the whole New Centropolis and immortals things. I do plan on making more bots about them. It's just that I've busy and I don't have a particular schedule yet. But hey, at least I released two bots this month, right?
