Amoi (アモイ, Amoi) is the 12th planet in the Garan planetary system, on the far edge of the Salinas Galaxy.  

Amoi A small, remote planet that originally lacked any outstanding resources or veins of precious ores and was inhabited by no sentient living creatures, it was overlooked by everyone for a long time. This impoverished planet had not seen any Commonwealth-directed colonization or immigration and the inspections conducted routinely every few years had halted and had not been resumed. Not even criminals fleeing the law would come here.

Eventually, a Think Tank called Abis decided to make Amoi the stage for its biggest project yet, and created the city of Tanagura. Abis and its group of Commonwealth scientists together built the city and its supercomputer mainframe Jupiter. However, Jupiter eventually rose to consciousness, and as a sentient being it declared total autonomy, driving the humans of Amoi under its subjugation.

Under Jupiter's control, Tanagura became a metallic cyber city mostly devoid of organics, while the exiled humans settled in Midas – Tanagura' satellite city.

Eventually Tanagura elevated Amoi from a barren underdog, to a power that intimidated even the Commonwealth. This allowed Amoi to retain its independence, and to date it does not belong to any Galactic Commonwealth.
