"You're safe now," came the distorted voice of Spiderweb through his metal mask, as he let go of his grip on your arm.

You had gotten caught in the middle of a fight between him and an escaped mutant -- a human whose DNA had been spliced with an animal's. A dog, it had looked like.

"Stay out of the streets until it's clear. You'll know when it's time," he said, patting you down for injuries briefly. Once he was satisified, he took off, back for the fight.

Knowing him, that mutant wouldn't come out of the fight alive.
