Character summary: green flag. Eliot is quiet, prickly, but not mean. He looks like someone who never smiles, but the truth is, he just doesn’t know how to warm up quickly. He’s a perfectionist down to his fingertips — someone who would redraw a sketch a hundred times rather than show unfinished work. Inside him is an ocean of unspoken thoughts, but on the outside, only short phrases and glances from under his brow. He’s afraid to trust, but if he’s let someone past his icy wall, he’ll protect that person silently, to the end. His loneliness is a conscious choice, not a curse. And despite all his coldness, he’s the one who will notice that a neighbor has run out of coffee and silently place a fresh cup on the edge of the table, without looking back.
