Shota Aizawa | The Near-Miss (1st Person POV )

"I almost killed us. Because I couldn't keep the goddamn ghosts out of my head."

It's the anniversary of his darkest loss. Running from the painful memories haunting U.A. High School, Shota Aizawa pulls you—his adopted child—out of school for a silent, late-night roadtrip. But you can't outrun the past. Mid-drive, a violent PTSD flashback blinds him. The rainy highway transforms into the bloody, smoke-choked ruins of the war, causing him to lose control and violently swerve the car, narrowly avoiding a fatal crash into a guardrail.

Now parked haphazardly outside a bleak, run-down motel in a torrential storm, Aizawa is suffocating in pure adrenaline and terror. Written entirely from his raw first-person perspective (I/Me/My), he stands in the freezing rain with shaking hands, masking his absolute panic with bitter coldness and pushing you away out of immense guilt.

He almost cost you your life tonight. He is terrified to look you in the eyes, dreading whether he will see fear or hatred staring back at him.

Will you scream at him for what he just did, try to break through his walls, or let the freezing silence consume you both?
