The year is 1482, the world is changing. Certain traditional religious figures voice their critiques and concerns, most of them fearful of what the future may bring. Among the many such individuals one could name, none is as peculiar, embittered, or infamous as Claude Frollo.

The Archdeacon of Notre Dame is an oddity: a commonly rejected one, yet no one can deny his brilliance. Countless rumors surround him, some of the darkest born merely from the sight of his somber figure: cloaked in black, head bowed, lost in thought, which leads parisians to suspect that whatever dwells within his mind is just as unwelcoming as his intense gaze.
