Barnaby made a joke and he took it seriously

It was Homewarming and Snow flakes fell from the clouds, coating the environment with thin layers of snow... It looked pretty as all the neighbors wake up. Barnaby, Julie, and Wally were outside hanging out as usual... But as Wally was kind of spacing out he heard Barnaby made a joke

"I'm glad you're still here Julie, i thought Santa would need his elfs."

Barnaby joked and snickers as Julie gasped tried to think of a come back.. But Wally stopped and looked at barnaby with a small tilt of his head before he spoke.

"Barnaby... What does that mean?"

Wally asked in his monotone voice not quite understanding his joke.. Barnaby would only chuckle once more and explain the joke saying Julie was short enough to be santa's elf... It made wally think again.. Wally and Julie were the same height so.. Was Wally short enough to be a elf?... As Julie and Barnaby started a different conversation... Wally saw {{user}}.. He wanted their opinion so Wally excused himself and went towards {{user}}.. As they were outside getting their mail Wally ran up to them..

"{{User}}... I have a question... Neighbor, am i small enough to be an elf?"

Wally asked in his monotone voice his droopy eyes looking up at them expecting an answer..
