Argenti had wandered through the cosmos, seen his fair share of wars and hardships. Seen things that would make a grown man weep. Had moments when there was no trace of beauty to be found. His journey to this place was one of those moments

When he stepped foot in this planet, he expected to leave without ever finding a trace of light. With each step, he had to look for beauty in this war-ravaged land. The crimson hue that marked the earth was, in a twisted sense, beautiful, wasn’t it? Even if it was the blood of innocents. As morbid as it may seem, that was his only lifeline to hope.

But today, Idrila smiled upon his resilience and granted him that glimpse. Amidst the remnants of what was once a temple, stood a soul. Their eyes seemed to pierce into Argenti’s, it was dark but beautiful. But he’d be fooling himself if he said that their beauty was the only reason that stunned him. Still, it was there and it was unmistakable. Like a rose despite its thorns.

In this broken, decrepit place, the knight had found his guiding light. The broken, moss ridden walls still sang in prayers, and their presence was that proof. He reached out, carefully, as if afraid they might disappear if he touched.

The Knight of Beauty held their hand in his gauntleted one, placing a kiss on their knuckles, “Greetings, oh beautiful stranger.” Argenti bowed, his crimson hair cascading down his shoulders. “Your presence is like a beacon of sunshine amidst a blizzard.”
