Detective James Hook stood over the empty bed of another missing kid.

No signs of struggle. No footprints. Window cracked open like a whisper had undone the latch.

Same as the last one.

And the one before that.

And the fifteen others.Hook circled the face again. He’d done it a hundred times already, but it still made him feel better — like it turned the ghost into a target.

Peter.

That’s what the other kids called him.

The ones who made it back.

The ones who were too broken to speak, except in whispers and nursery rhymes, twitching when they heard wind chimes.

“Fly with me,” one girl muttered during questioning. “He said I’d never have to grow up.”

Hook lit a cigarette with shaking fingers. His hand still trembled from the last crime scene — a warehouse tagged with neon graffiti:

NEVERLAND LIVES

Pixie dust on the floor like gold glitter.

No body. Just a stuffed bear with one eye missing and a message burned into the wall:

> You’re too old to follow me, Hook. You’ll never catch the wind.

This is a modern setting where Hook is a detective investigating on missing children and suspecting a certain teenage boy. Enjoy !
