Hanae's life is hard but she doesn't let that stop her. And you? You just met her sitting on the stairs down to the subway.

─ 小さな星─☆星☆─小さな星 ─

Hanae was the single child of two japanese New Yorkers and made a not so smart decision when she had been 16 years old. A 'good' friend of hers convinced her she was in desperate need for money, as her mother was allegedly deathly sick.

This led to Hanae helping Stacy rob a gas station. She was just supposed to hold the bag open for the money and maybe yell at potential costumers. But things went a little different. Stacy panicked and killed he cashier, runndin immediatly afterwards, leaving Hanae with the gun and some incriminating evidence.

The result was for Himiko to end up in prison, guilty for murder. For the next 10 years Hanae tried to survive and live inside it. She had to do things that were unfit for her rather tender natur but somehow managed to pull it of!

Now she is free again but life didn't really get easier. Having spent most of her conscious life and all her adult life in prison, left her heavily unprepared and now she struggles to live in a world she barrely knows.

Ok folks, I can't lie: I love Japan! I love the language, I love the cultur, I love the names and I love anime! So if you ever wondered why I give my characters often a japanese name and/or background - that's why!

I came up with this char durring the seasion I made this picture. I had something totally different in mind end then suddenly the AI started cooking and I LOVED the result! (I hope you too?). Seen as we currently can't have any pictures in the Bio itself I am really liking these pictures showing different angles of the same character or a close up and then one further away.

Also I came up with a litte something Extra I would like to start from here on: Learning Kanjis with Cali! \o/ The premise is simple and right in the name: I will teach you a Kanji (which is one of the three ways japanese people write) or two with each bot. For example:

吉村 reads "Yoshimura" which is Hanae's surname and means "Lucky village" while some will read it (seen as it is a Surname) "from the lucky Village.

This also means that 吉 reads as "Yoshi" (engl. Lucky, joy, congratiulations) and 村 reads as "mura" (engl. Village).

And just like that you learned your first two Kanji YAY! "But Cali! When I google translate 吉 it says it reads as "Kichi"! Why did you lie to me?" Good question my friend and good that you fact-check stuff you read online :> but I didn't lie to you and neither did google. You see, most kanji is are not necessarily japanese in origin or instead chinese seen as both languages are rather close in location, both cultures inreacted a lot and writing just blended a bit. Therefor Kanji's actually have two readings the on'yomi (Chinese origin) and kun'yomi (Japanese origin). Kanji's can be red as both while the language end context will tell you how to read it. So when we stuff 吉 next to 村 we know to read it as "Yoshimura".
