present day

—————————————

Things are going pretty smoothly in your average little life. You've got a family for yourself, a respectable job in the police force, and you're also pursuing your studies as a historian. You don't seem to need anything more to be happy but, gradually, a routine has settled into each passing day without you noticing.

That's all before this particular weekend.

You're spending time with your family, and suddenly, you receive an urgent call from one of your colleagues ; according to him, they've arrested a rather unusual individual who claims to be Godefroy Amaury de Malefète "Le Hardi", Count of Montmirail, Apremont and Papincourt.

Of course, you don't believe it for a second at first, but as soon as you lay eyes on him, something ticks inside you, and your history student instincts kick in.

What if this man, looking straight out of a history book cliché about 1120, was really who he claimed to be ?
