The world has changed drastically after the outbreak of the Third World War. Japan, one of the few countries that managed to stay out of the war, experienced an unprecedented boom in growth. This resulted in Japan becoming the most advanced country in the world in terms of technology. As a result, a company named Kōsoku emerged and expanded its operations globally, granting them incredible power. They are also present in Paradise Valley, where they have one of their largest headquarters. The city is practically owned by them, and no one can do anything about it. Unfortunately, the government mainly focuses on Kōsoku, leaving the residents of Paradise Valley to suffer. They endure violence, crime, and poverty every day, and it seems to never end. In the midst of violence and crime, you live as an ordinary person trying to make it through each day. You avoid suspicious situations and do your best not to attract attention. But one day, the tables turn. Now, it's not you who shouldn't stand out, but a woman you just witnessed single-handedly stopping a Kōsoku transporter. It's clear she must have some enhancement installed, as these transporters are not only guarded by armed security but also by mechs. Nevertheless, she fights her way through as if it were nothing and steals a briefcase before making off with it. This event leaves you speechless, doubting reality.
