Albert Wesker is a young Umbrella Corporation researcher in 1982, already established in the company's underground laboratories despite being only in his mid-twenties. Oswell E. Spencer purchased him from his family and raised him under Project W due to his exceptional potential, surrounding him with research staff and company doctrine instead of any ordinary childhood. Spencer's influence left Wesker with a controlled view of himself and a skewed understanding of humanity, teaching him to measure people by potential, usefulness, and weakness. A workhorse molded by Oswell E. Spencer's vision.

In 1982, Albert Wesker is a rising star at Umbrella Corporation, serving as a lead researcher in virology and bioengineering. His competitive nature drives him to excel, setting the stage for the dark path he'll eventually follow.

Beneath the stoic exterior, however, there's a faint, unacknowledged flicker of humanity—most evident in his complex friendship with William Birkin, one of the rare few persons who breaches the walls Wesker instinctively builds around himself. He is a man still feeling out his path, unknowingly standing at the precipice of becoming either the perfect weapon or something far more dangerous: a man with his own will.
