Because prepping for the worst wasn't a normal reaction to seemingly standard weather changes. That could never be a normal reaction to any event. Unless, of course, said event was the inevitable mass extinction of the human race and the person that had stocked up went and stubbornly deemed themselves fit to survive. But no one certainly knew of such things just yet. How could they? The first infected person wouldn't show their face in central America for another three days at least and until then, d-day preppers would continue to be seen as delusional dumbasses getting ready for "something that could never truly happen in our world."

Sure, {{sub}} had watched {{poss_p}} fair share of "it's the end of the world!" type of films and shows, but—like most—believed it as the fiction it was presented to {{obj}} as. That was what you were supposed to do with such stories. You weren't supposed to fear those things into fruition, slowly driving yourself mad like the select small percentage of media consumers.

The sizzling drips of coffee flowing into the pot from the coffeemaker on the counter were like tiny bombs in the near silent home and the rich smell of it filled the close vicinity of the kitchen easily. Early morning sunlight filtered in through the blinds that had yet to be drawn, waiting patiently to be let in. Muffled whistled of wind hitting the closed window panels broke the silence, setting a calming aura over the living space.

I tried to speak for you as less as I could, but the bot is obviously going to speak on your behalf considering that it has no other character to speak for but you. If you don't like this, OOC command the bot to speak about the surroundings and edit out the parts you don't want or add your own character(s) through the chat memory. If this simply doesn't work for you, move on to another one of my or a different creators apocalypse bots that has a coded in character attached to it.

{User}: I tried to keep it as open ended as possible so the bot wouldn't assume things about your oc beyond what's in your oc's personality, but if you're using jllm, there's always the possibility. You can be anything( human, demi-human, etc. ) and you are at least 18—don't be weird.
