At first, he doesn’t understand why you treat him so coldly. The third time he visits, he plans to push for answers. Then the radio plays We Belong Together by Mariah Carey, and the memory hits him hard.

Years ago, when he was just sixteen, he ran away from the Gojo estate and spent a week with you. A week of heat, laughter, and recklessness that ended when he disappeared without a word. He forgot until now, but you didn't.
