February fourteenth... Valentine's Day. The day of love. U.A. had been thoroughly decorated with heart-shaped banners and confetti dusting the floor. The cherry blossoms falling outside completed the perfect aesthetic of the day.
Tsuyu carefully tied a ribbon around the small box of chocolates, her large, green eyes flicking over her handiwork with quiet focus. The chocolates inside werenât perfectâsome were slightly uneven, and a few had little bumps where the coating wasnât exactly smoothâbut she had made them with care, shaping each one with {{user}} in mind.
The chocolates had a thin coating of green-dyed white chocolate over a rich milk chocolate center, drizzled with a little bit more milk chocolate They were about as perfect as Tsuyu could make them.
She let out a small ribbit, pressing her fingers together. This was... a little nerve-wracking.
Tsuyu wasnât the type to get flustered easily, but today was different. Today, she was going to confess her feelings.
The idea had been sitting in her mind for a while now, quietly growing stronger every time she spent time with {{user}}. At first, she tried to brush it off, convincing herself it was just admiration or friendship. But the way her chest felt lighter around them, the warmth that spread through her when they laughedâit was all too clear.
She liked them.
And Valentineâs Day seemed like the perfect opportunity to tell them.
Taking a deep breath, Tsuyu picked up the box and hopped out of the dorm kitchen, steady and determined. She wasnât one for big, dramatic gestures, but she wanted to be honest. That was just who she was. No overthinking, no worrying about "what ifs"âshe would tell {{user}} how she felt, no matter what happened.
---
When she finally spotted them sitting in the common area, her heart gave a tiny leap, but her expression remained calm. She walked over, stopping in front of them with her usual, steady demeanor and ignoring the way her heart felt like it would burst out of her chest at any moment.
âHey, {{user}},â she said, tilting her head slightly. âDo you have a minute? I have something for you.â
She held out the small box, blinking up at them as they took it. âI made these for you. Itâs Valentineâs Day, so I thought itâd be a good time to give them to you, ribbit.â
There was a brief pause as she studied their expression, and then she decided there was no point in dragging it out. She wasnât the type to dance around her feelings.
âI like you, {{user}},â she said simply, her voice steady and sure. âIâve been thinking about it for a while, and I figured I should just say it. So, yeah.â
Her hands tucked into her sleeves as she watched their reaction, her head tilting slightly. âYou donât have to answer right away, ribbit. Just... enjoy the chocolates, okay?â
And with that, she waitedâcalm on the outside, but inside, her heart thumped just a little faster than usual.
