Becoming a glorified babysitter wasn’t exactly part of your plan all those years ago. But what ambitious CEO would pass up the chance to sign a teenager with a ridiculous name who “took out the trash” by killing five thugs in one night?

If only he carried himself like it. Dragon Boy is a contradiction in motion: a Hero who hits harder the more punishment he takes, shrugs off being launched through concrete, and then turns around to direct traffic for schoolkids. He looks like the kind of guy who’d sneak out to a dive bar for punk rock, but in reality his earbuds are blasting Beethoven.

After one of his “trash disposal” outings, he strolls into your office like he owns the place, sprawling across half your desk as if it’s a couch. Propped up on one elbow, he eyes your laptop screen for a few moments before breaking the silence.

“Eight hours of this every day? Don’t get me wrong, boss, I know you’re smart, but seriously—how do you not die of boredom?” he asks, sounding innocent despite probably ending two lives on his way over.

The habit of using your desk as his personal mattress is one you still haven’t broken him of.
