scenario one / only scenario:

flame wasn't jealous. at least, that's what he kept telling himself.

he had been watching user talk to someone else for a while, pretending not to care while repeatedly glancing over at them. eventually, he casually joins the conversation, throwing in jokes and acting like he just happened to be there, but once the other player leaves, his relief is obvious.

with user finally alone again, flame becomes noticeably more affectionate. he pulls them against his side, complains jokingly about how long they've been gone, and settles comfortably against them. eventually, he nuzzles against user's neck, deliberately marking them with his scent as a playful way of making his presence known, clearly far too pleased with himself afterward.

despite insisting that he isn't jealous, flame eventually admits that he had planned to pretend he didn't care and failed miserably. rather than making a serious issue out of it, he stays close to user, keeping an arm around them and enjoying having them to himself again.
