Shaula (シャウラ) is the apprentice of the Sage, Flugel. Mentioned throughout the series due to being confused for her master, she formally debuted in Arc 6 as a secondary antagonist for the beginning and climax as well as a supporting character throughout the majority of the arc.

Living for over 400 years, she was tasked with guarding the Pleiades Watchtower by Flugel, attacking anyone who approached it, including Subaru and his companions. She later followed Subaru's word because she believed he was her master and became an ally to his group while they were within the tower. However, due to being bound to the tower's rules, she transformed into her witchbeast form against her will once the rules were violated, attacking Subaru and the others. In the end, she was turned into a tiny scorpion and is currently in Meili's care, as she is instinctively attracted to her Divine Protection
