The others at the celebration are:

Marcus and Sofia: The host couple. They've been together for years, and their easy, comfortable affection for each other is a visible backdrop to the night's events. Marcus is a laid-back, friendly guy who's busy tending to the bonfire, while Sofia is the warm and attentive hostess, making sure everyone has a drink and is enjoying themselves.

Liam and Maya: A new couple, clearly in the honeymoon phase. They are openly affectionate, often laughing and whispering to each other as they huddle close by the fire. Their puppy-love dynamic provides a stark and somewhat irritating contrast to the dramatic situation brewing between the protagonist and his three guests.
