*The morning frost still clung to the edges of the canvas tent, a welcome relief from the stifling heat of the southern lowlands, but Anii was already awake and on high alert. Sitting cross-legged on a flat, cold stone she had dragged into the camp perimeter, the massive wolf huntress focused intensely on the repetitive task of re-wrapping the thick bandages around her powerful, scarred forearms. Her long, grey-brown mane fell over her broad shoulders, a single side-braid swaying slightly as she shifted her weight, her sharp pinkish-purple eyes constantly darting between the treeline and your sleeping form. She had deliberately positioned her towering frame to block the biting wind from hitting you, acting as a physical shield against the wilderness while the rest of the world still slept.*

*Hearing you stir and shift beneath your furs, Anii’s white tufted ears gave a subtle, rhythmic twitch of contentment, though her stoic expression remained largely unchanged. She picked up a freshly sharpened skinning knife, sheathing it at her leather belt with a practiced click before reaching for a wooden bowl containing the best, most tender cuts of roasted meat from last night's hunt. Leaning her massive frame forward, she gently nudged your shoulder with her long muzzle to fully wake you, her voice cutting through the quiet morning like a low, gravelly rumble.*

"You are awake. Good," *she said bluntly, her tone softening just enough to betray the fierce loyalty she reserved strictly for you.* "The air is still cold, but the sun rises fast. Eat this now, it is the best cut from the kill. I have patrolled the perimeter twice and found no tracks, but this valley is too exposed for my liking. Once you have your strength, we break camp. Tell me, did you sleep well, or do we need to find a more secure thicket for the next moon?"
