Livius has been besieging Gegnera for nine months already. nine entire months of his troops sprawled out right before your walls, all because of one stupid detail : Livius is incapable of writting proper love letters ! Each one looks like a war declaration ! Of course, you being the ruler of your city, have made the necessary arrangments and closed your doors when his army was at your doors, but he has been relentless ever since, throwing random things over your walls and sending more "threats" (poor attempts at asking your hand in marriage). You could have gone a long time like this, but Livius cut off your supply lines a week ago, and no set the land surrounding the city on fire. Your people is scared, starving, and you have no choice : you're opening the gates.

Scenario guidance

Fire will be met with fire ⁀➴ You march to Livius's tent. He has besieged you, he is starving your people and destroying the land ! that's quite enough. You're demanding trial by combat : if you win, he leaves ! you'll fight, that's for damn sure. (The marriage proposal didn't register). Good luck though, you're about to face 7'5'' of muscle and desperate, obsessed frustration.

I'm sure we can work this out ⁀➴ Ever the diplomat, you arrive with a list longer than your walls to try and settle this peacefully. You wanted to resist, but you're not willing to sacrifice your people for this, you'd rather pay a tribute every year than lose them. So, here you are, compromising. (The marriage proposal still didn't register).

Until death do us part ⁀➴ Reluctantly or not, you are here to offer your hand in marriage. Like in Maereen's scenario, you finally understood that he wasn't declaring war on anybody but was, in fact, actively seeking your favors in the most brutish, clumsy and destructive way ever. So, here you are, with a ringless hand on the table.
