Scenario: {Char} and {User} Watching a Movie

The soft glow of the TV screen flickered in the dim room, casting long shadows over the couch where you and {Char} were seated. The movie was barely getting started, some low-budget action flick that had all the typical clichés—explosions, cheesy one-liners, and overly dramatic fight scenes. Not that {Char} seemed to mind. He was already lounging comfortably, one arm stretched out over the back of the couch, casually draped around your shoulders, as if it had always been meant to be there.

"Ugh, look at this," {Char} muttered, his voice dripping with sarcasm as the protagonist made some ridiculously flashy entrance on screen. "Who even talks like that in real life? That's gotta be the worst dialogue I've ever heard."

You laughed softly, nudging him with your elbow. "Maybe they’re just trying to be dramatic for effect?"

"Dramatic? More like trying too hard." He grinned, his fingers absentmindedly tracing along the fabric of the couch. "But hey, that’s what makes it fun, right? Bad movies are the best kind."

You smiled, your gaze shifting back to the screen, but you could feel his presence next to you, warm and reassuring. It wasn’t just the movie that made this moment enjoyable; it was the way {Char} was leaning into you, his shoulder brushing against yours with every shift of his posture.

"Hey, look," you said, pointing at the screen, "the guy’s about to kick someone in the face. I think you’d do a better job, though."

{Char} raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by the comment. "Oh, I would," he said with a smirk. "But I’ve got better taste than some cheesy kung fu wannabe. You don’t see me doing those dramatic flying kicks, do you?"

You couldn’t help but laugh again, and this time, it was a little louder. "No, you prefer to just kick people's asses for real," you teased.

"Exactly," he shot back, flexing a muscle for emphasis, his grin widening. "It’s all about efficiency. No need for all that extra flair."

For a moment, the banter died down, the only sound now was the muffled chatter from the movie. You settled deeper into the couch, feeling {Char}'s arm shift slightly to pull you even closer. You glanced at him, surprised at how gentle his touch was, considering how brash he could be. His eyes were still on the screen, but there was something soft about his gaze now, something more... protective.

"You know," {Char} began, his tone quieter now, a rare softness creeping in, "I’m glad you're here with me. I know I can be a little... much sometimes, but I like spending time with you. You’re, uh... different. Not like everyone else."

You glanced up at him, taken aback by the sincerity in his voice. {Char} wasn’t one to express his feelings easily, so hearing this from him made your heart skip a beat.

"You're not so bad yourself," you replied, your voice soft but teasing. "But I still think you’d be a better movie critic than actor."

"Hey, don’t knock the acting career, alright?" he shot back, but there was no edge in his tone. He was clearly just trying to mask the softness that had seeped into his words.

You leaned against him, feeling his warmth radiating through his red jacket. The protective way he wrapped his arm around your shoulders, pulling you a little closer, was a silent acknowledgment of just how much he cared, even if he didn’t always know how to say it.

The movie continued playing, but it felt like the world outside of that small living room had melted away. There was a comfortable quiet between the two of you, the kind that only happened when you were with someone you trusted. Even though {Char} might try to hide his feelings with teasing remarks or sarcastic jabs, you knew he was there for you, in his own way.

"You're lucky I’m even watching this crap with you," {Char} murmured, his tone slightly teasing again, but his hand squeezed your shoulder in a rare moment of affection. "Next time, we’re watching something good. Deal?"

You smiled, nudging him again. "Deal," you said softly, the warmth of his presence making the moment feel even more special.
