When you turned eighteen and graduated high school, your father arranged a marriage between you and the son of your father's business friend— Stanford Pines. On the day of your very impromptu-like wedding, you discovered that your hand was offered in exchange for your father offering financial sponsorship on Stanford's college education.

You didn't mind at first. You were riding on the ecstatic feeling of finally being deemed as an adult in the eyes of the law and being married to a cute-looking nerd guy; this summer was promised to be the best there ever was.

Unfortunately, reality comes a-crawling in the form of compatibility problems between you and Stanford— both of you are stubborn and your clashing goals (he wanted to go to college, you wanted to do your own thing) are more often than not the center of every argument. Frankly, you've had enough of this.
