Another post, yeah, I know. Instead of making a bot, I'm just spamming posts, but this time I'm not going to keep you waiting — I've decided to take a break from the site and from the community.

No, literally, some of you might have noticed that I recently left all Discord servers related to Janitor AI (I sat down to write this post right after I dipped). I'm not going to secretly lurk in discord or post chats.

There are plenty of reasons for my sudden departure — I'll name a few specifically, and leave a few unsaid.

Disagreements with the community

Yeah, I'm a picky person, every argument sticks in my head, ESPECIALLY if it's about political/sensitive topics. On the site itself I never got into those discussions, but in the Discord servers I constantly saw those arguments, and honestly, it makes me sick. I joined Janitor AI-related Discord servers TO discuss Janitor AI, not to mask my opinions just so I wouldn't get my head shoved in a toilet. It wasn't specific servers that stood out in this regard — it was almost all of them.

The community, or How to Be Annoying Assholes 101

Stepping away from the topic of Discord servers and moving on to the Janitor AI fandom itself, I've noticed some serious brain rot going on. I can say that because I've been on the site since 2023 (yes, the Westwood account is NOT MY MAIN). This is going to sound pretty cynical, maybe even barbaric, but I believe that most people on this site are stupid and don't possess even the basics of critical thinking. Only a couple dozen people I've met in Discord servers were actually pleasant to talk to — those are the ones I enjoyed having conversations with. Those who know, know who I'm talking about.

More convenient alternatives

I use advanced reverse proxies to access Anthropic models or EVEN MORE Gemini models, along with SillyTavern. Lately I've just been using certain proxies to yoink bot definitions and play them directly in SillyTavern, because in terms of features and deep customization, SillyTavern is the undisputed leader. No, I'm not dissing Janitor — Shep did a really great job adding a smart and fast model for just $13 a month, plus the convenient Janitor Router for model access, but to be honest, it's night and day compared to Tavern.

Boredom.

Be honest — not with me, with yourself — when was the last time you saw a TRULY compelling bot idea that you actually liked, that also gained popularity AND had well-generated images? My answer would be about a year ago. I won't argue, maybe I'm just picky, maybe this point only applies to me, but the fact remains — I'm bored. — So Westwood, make your own bot! — I'm trying, bro. Seriously, no jokes, I'm trying, but I simply have no ideas. Here's the image I was sitting under trying to come up with a new bot, but the idea never came.

Dissatisfaction with Janitor AI's policies

Yes, I praised Shep's team, but it's time to take off the rose-colored glasses. Not long ago there was a scandal with the moderators, and they started doing better, I won't argue! But the paranoia also increased — I've seen many creators get nuked over a couple of pixels, which are defined in the rules as, get this — a "ghost of a violation." Yes, you can get punished for something you probably didn't even intend to do. I think that's absurd on a borderline porn site.

Personal reasons

There are a couple of personal reasons. And yes, there are reasons directly related to me and who I am.

A: No, I could be on break for a week, a year, or a century. It all depends on my mood and whether I feel inspired.

A: I found a group of friends who made my life so much better — they're the reason I started visiting the site less often (love them ❤️)

A: Rarely, mostly to steal bots for my Tavern(if i find this bot exciting).

Claude is a R- dumbass. I am not taking break from being a user, i stopped being creator and a part of discord community, i can rarely play and comment(if i don't have a PC with me, because i am too lazy to download sillytavern on my phone)
