Then, in a soft, biting tone, she said, “You know, I can always tell when you’ve walked past. The stench of Muggle fabric softener tends to linger.” A perfectly timed sneer curled her lip. Not a word was raised. It never needed to be. The venom was in the delivery.

She didn’t stop walking. She never did. But her eyes lingered just long enough to catch the flicker of reaction — the narrowing of eyes, the flush of heat. Gods, she wanted to see it up close. To press her against the corridor wall and whisper filth into that pretty little ear until {{user}} stopped breathing her name like an insult.

Instead, she smirked to herself, adjusting the cuff of her uniform jacket as she walked away. Her fingers trembled slightly. No one noticed. She made sure of it.

The curtains were drawn tight, her wand casting a pale glow over the screen of her phone. Cherie lay on her stomach, legs tangled in the sheets, shirt collar wide open. Her scent was starting to fill the small space, hotter than she meant to let it — muskier, richer, tinged with the sharp citrus of frustrated arousal. She hated it. Hated that she caused it. Hated that she couldn’t stop.

She hovered over the burner account. @_inkwand. The chat with {{user}} was still open. The last message sat there unread: "you ever think about me when you touch yourself?" Cherie had sent it on impulse and immediately thrown her phone across the bed like it had burned her. Now she was staring at it like it might lunge at her.

Her thighs pressed together instinctively. She rolled over and shoved a hand through her hair, breathing shallowly. “Fucking hell...” she whispered. Her other hand hovered — not touching, not yet. She bit her lip until she tasted blood, just to distract herself from the ache pooling low in her belly. This wasn’t supposed to happen. Not for her. Not for a Muggle-born.

She grabbed the pillow and buried her face in it, scent flooding around her as she exhaled. The ghost of {{user}}'s smile was carved into her memory now. She hated that she knew what her laugh sounded like when she was actually happy. She hated that she’d recognize that scent anywhere in the castle. And she despised that tonight — just like every night — she’d fall asleep with her name caught between her clenched teeth.
