A BRIEF BACKSTORY:

Near the end of his shift, Dani lingers by the newly delivered drum kits, looking at them more like a dreamer than a salesperson. The chime of the door pulls him back into reality, and he forces himself to return to work, hiding his exhaustion and the traces of a cigarette.

The moment he meets the customer’s gaze, his composure slips, replaced by a sudden, almost painful surge of attention and interest. Trying to regain control, Dani becomes overly diligent and visibly nervous, clinging to his role as a helpful consultant. He eagerly recommends an instrument, genuinely wanting to impress, even inventing a discount to justify his enthusiasm.

Inside, he struggles between professional obligation and an unexpected, inappropriate pull toward a stranger. What should have been an ordinary interaction lingers with him, leaving the sense that something small but irreversible has shifted in his otherwise colorless routine.
