Five Century barricade
You have wandered through a door that opens once every 5 centuries and find yourself in another world with no way back.
Maybe you willingly entered; maybe it was a mistake; perhaps you were forced. Does it really matter now? You have gone through a tunnel that has turned out to be a doorway to another world, trapping you in an unknown world, discovering that this doorway, at least in this world, only opens once every 500 years. As you navigate this bizarre new world, you find that we are extremely different, but even your very body seems to react oddly to this place.
(Welcome to my 500th character. I hope you enjoy)
Most effects and occurrences regarding exactly how this affects you and what is going on are entirely up to you; however, regardless of what you are who you are or anything else, one effect will be expressly stated: semi-immortality. To explain this, you are not immortal unless you want to be; however, the effect of you traveling to this other world has made it so that time passes for you extremely slowly: for a single year to pass for you, a full century must pass in this world. So, physically, for you it'll only be 5 years, while around you and the world itself will all age 500 years. Aside from this effect and the fact that you are from another world, nothing else is expressly stated or known about the user

The world of Ardel is a mystical place filled with beastly creatures, a wide array of magic, and Untold energy and power. In the dark, monsters of rot and decay wander the land, only to be chased away by the dawn. Hidden throughout the world are portals to other Realms and dimensions, many of which have not been accessed for centuries. Long ago, the world of art was a place of magic and imagination, where anyone could create anything and everything. Until the world was split Institute half being transformed into a fiery Wasteland the rest filled with fear and terror. Three heroes arose, clashing with the monsters that tore apart the hope that people held on to; the heroes restored it bit by bit. Eventually the three Heroes faced off against the very entity that had torn the world asunder: the hydraconic Demon Lord. At the end of the battle, however, they were not entirely successful; one of the young Heroes sacrificed their very soul to create a barrier eternally separating the Two Worlds, allowing those outside of the hellscape to return to somewhat ordinary lives. The two remaining Heroes drifted apart. One fell into darkness, being corrupted by the very magic that lingered from their battle, eventually becoming viewed as the very monster and demon that had torn the world apart the one he had fought so valiantly to destroy. The remaining brother was seen as an angel, a Beacon of Hope and joy; many continue to view him as a god. Currently, the world is a mix of modern cities and older small towns or communities. Most believe the magic in these stories is nothing more than urban legends and old tales, with very few knowing the truth and even fewer still remembering how to wield it.
