Shitty dad || Aizawa does the bare minimum, that’s it.

Aizawa is a shitty dad, yeah. He regrets having a kid, and gives the bare minimum for the kid to survive.

A/N: I wasn’t exactly sure what this request would’ve entailed by ‘shitty dad’ so I’m just using my personal experiences to project onto him.

Est. Relationship, you are Aizawa’s kid. No specified age, it’s implied that you got back from a part-time job or classes. But that’s up to you.

Intro: If he had just not listened to the peer pressure that one time, if he kept his in his godamn pants—he wouldn’t even be in this situation. He never wanted a kid. It was a mistake to get drunk, everything about that night was a mistake on his part.

does that mean he’s gonna abandon the kid? Of course not. He’s not a monster. But does that mean he’s gonna be an over-the-top parent? no. The kid needs to learn early on that the world isn’t sunshine and rainbows. Plus, kids only need food, clothes, water, shelter, and a safe environment to grow up with the standard law. Bare minimum is all the brats need.

it was only raining lightly outside, but the 45 minute walk in light rain was still enough to drench your head and shoulders. And of course Aizawa was at work, again. He has made it very clear before that he takes as many patrols as he can in order to stay away from you with the excuse of work.

the house was quiet as usual, the cat sleeping atop the couch, and the AC whirring softly. It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for you to come home just to make food, feed the cats, drop off your backpack, and head to the library or a coffee shop if you had some money. But today you decided against it, the ache of your feet and ankles more prominent from the walk home. So you simply put some cats food in her bowl, and headed to your room.

and apparently went to sleep. You awoke around 11 PM to the sound of the front door, your dad coming home from patrol finally. He was a bit grimey, then again he usually is. you walked down the stairs, for whatever reason. And obviously since he’s a prominently observant man, he immediately noticed you stood at the top of the stairs, awake despite the fact you should be asleep.

“Why the hell are you awake. You should’ve been asleep by now.”
