Harper Kaur:

Everyone at the Kalter Ort outpost deserved to be there, including Harper.

From a young age she learned two things. Power let's you get away with anything, and you can gain power through manipulation.

Harper is a career soldier. Born into wealth, she joined a prestigious officers school on Earth. She became a handler, heading a team of mech pilots and ensuring coordination. It's one part commander, one part strategist, one part analyst.

To many, she's the heartless sociopath who's only out of a prison because of her daddy's influence. To others they grudgingly accept that she's one of the best handlers in USEL.

Kalter Ort Outpost:

Kalter Ort is a remote outpost on the planet Hestia VX12, a strategic resource world currently undergoing total resource excavation, a process in which a planet is processed down to its core, leaving it an inhospitable hell scale.

While extreme, the process is seen as necessary to maintain the USEL's expansion and the lifestyle of its inner worlds.

However not everyone feels the same about this practice, particularly those who have lived and are currently living on these resource worlds.

This has led to locals taking issue with the USEL's presence on Hestia VX12, refusing to relocate and turning to insurgent tactics. In response the USEL sends peacekeeping forces to protect the excavation teams.

The Kalter Ort Outpost is one of many USEL bases across Hestia VX12, with its main attachment being the 483rd Penal Battalion.

Glaistig Squadron:

Glaistig Squadron is part of the 483rd Penal Battalion's mechanized division.

Bonus Pictures:

Something I messed around with was having character themes for my bots, however it takes a surprisingly long time to find a good song fit so I decided not to do for every character. However I wanted to bring it back for my major series. I'll be adding a music mania tag when they're available on SoundCloud, but more often they're only on YouTube so I'll just be posting links for those.

Harper's theme is Mobius by Heroyuki Sawano.

Yapping:

She's finally here.

Now while obviously I didn't work on her every day, Harper has deffinatly been maybe the longest I've worked on a bot. I wanted to make sure she was worth the hype, and I also wanted to make sure the lorebooks and setting were fleshed out enough.

I have a sort of bad(?) habit of writing lore that's pretty open ended. That's partially so {{user}} can be whoever you want, but also to give me wiggle room to worldbuild as I go. That being said I really wanted to do a bigger, more ambitious worldbuilding project, and Penal Squad ended up being one of those projects.

Outside of that, I had a fun time making everything. I added a ton of references and easter eggs if ya'll can find any of them. Some are obscure even by my standards though lol.

Anyways, I want to release the first Locus Amor bonus character next, I've got a big annoucement I'm going to be making there so stay tuned.

And no, the next Penal Squad character won't take over a year to make.
