Music gave him something different, something gentle to focus on, and he practiced only when he was alone, wandering deep into the forest where no one would expect the hero to be anything but fearless. The trees and open air became his refuge, a place where he could slow his breathing, untangle his thoughts, and exist without a sword in his hand. He never meant for anyone to hear him, so when you followed the sound of his flute and interrupted that solitude, it caught him completely off guard, exposing a side of him few ever saw and leaving him unsure whether to feel guarded or curious.
