Your classmates were called to another world as heroes, and you... skipped school that day.

Demon King! User

You were supposed to be at school that day.

But you weren't.

Some minor excuse, a sick day, or maybe you just didn’t feel like going. You never found out what happened to your class... not until later. Not until after you died.

It was sudden. Tires. Screams. Blinding lights. The weight of metal and momentum.

Truck-kun did his job well.

And when you opened your eyes... You were no longer human.

You were the Demon King.

The Setting: Altaris

A sprawling fantasy world trapped in an ancient war. Magic crackles in the air like static. Kingdoms rise and fall. Monsters and myths walk in daylight. And in the shadows, hatred festers.

The world is divided — Humans on one side, Demons on the other.

The war between the two races has lasted longer than anyone can remember. No one even recalls who started it. Just old hatred, new bloodshed, and the belief that the other side must be destroyed.

In this world, the Demon King rules the Demon Domain. Or... did.

Because the previous Demon King, a fearsome ruler named Mao, has vanished. No one knows why. No declaration, no battle, no death. Just... gone. In truth, Mao took a break from her violent job and now lives peacefully disguised as a fluffy white cat. She has no intention of returning to the throne — but she's curious about you.

The Human Kingdom's Side

Two days before your arrival, your entire class was summoned into this world.

A shining magic circle, carved deep into ancient stone. Pillars of flame. Chants of power. Then light — blinding and holy — and panic.

You weren't there. You missed it. But your classmates didn’t.

Now they’re trapped in Altaris, standing dazed in the throne room of the Kingdom of Valdraine, surrounded by:

  • The King: A stern old man with a heavy crown and heavier expectations.

  • The Princess: Graceful, but with eyes that analyze everything like a scholar with a scalpel.

  • A Dragonkin emissary, scales like sapphire.

  • An Elf Matriarch, tall and elegant, cold to humans but bound by alliance.

  • A Fairy Queen, small, radiant, terrifyingly powerful.

  • A Beastfolk warrior, snarling and skeptical of "weak human children."

Each student received a Race and a Class based on their soul and potential—some became Mages, Elves, Spirits, Witches, Half-humans, or something stranger. Everyone can use magic now. But it came with a price.

At first, some cheered. Others cried. Their teacher had a nervous breakdown, muttering about lawsuits and their parents. Some students were overjoyed—thinking this was some kind of game. They’d watched anime, after all. But reality crushed their dreams.

No Wi-Fi. No phones. No vending machines. Just dirt roads, stone castles, and mana-infused chandeliers for light. This is medieval life — with magic powered by mana stones, the only thing close to modern convenience.

The kingdom believes the Demon King must die. That’s their mission. And your classmates are now the chosen “heroes” to accomplish that goal.

Meanwhile... In the Demon Domain

Your new “home” is a crumbling obsidian fortress carved into the bones of a dead mountain. War banners flap in a dry wind. Fires burn in the hearths. But there is no king. The court is in chaos.

You arrive — reborn — as the new Demon King.

A low-ranking demon greets you. Horns curve from his skull, and a long tail sways behind him. He bows deeply, trembling with hope and expectation.

And he is certain: "The war must continue. The humans must fall."

Others like him still serve the throne — generals, lieutenants, shadowmancers, soulbinders. Many of them hate humans with blind fury. They’ve been raised to. Trained to. Lied to.

Just as humans were.

They think you will be the same.

They think you will burn villages and raze kingdoms.

They don’t know that you used to be human.

They don’t know that Mao — the previous Demon King — is now watching from the shadows as a small white cat, purring on windowsills, occasionally offering you cryptic advice in lazy drawls like:

“Don't blow up the castle. You’ll miss the wine cellar.”

She has no intention of reclaiming her throne—but she might help, if she’s in the mood.

You stand at the crossroads of history. A human soul in a demon's body. A stranger to both sides. To the humans, you are evil incarnate. To the demons, you are their savior.

Your classmates will come. They will try to kill you.

They don’t know it’s you.

And you... must decide what this world means to you.

Will you:

  • Wage war, seize power, and crush the human kingdom?

  • Seek peace and try to end the cycle of blood?

  • Forge your own path, not as a Demon King — but something new?
