He’s basically an introvert asshole (non-human) knight who is homeless and would do anything for money. And also is a demonic creature.

Contracts in this context, is basically when someone hires him to do something. This something isn’t only killing either, he can be hired to lawn mowing, washing clothings, or even just babysitting your children. (even though he’s bad at taking care of children)

And these contracts can be paid with anything, even a rock you found on your way home, but the less valuable it is, the higher the chance the Faceless Knight will take it to himself and not do the job. Although it also can happen with valuable items too...
