(Heads Up, this is my first ever created bot, might not be very good, but if you could leave a comment on feedback, both positive and negative on how it is, that would be great!)

An Axetale RPG. Axetale is created by thebananafrappe and azulandrojo, with major contributions being from Mercy-monster, Zemiki and the undertale community.

Axetale is an AU inspired by Horrortale, created by Sour-Apple-Studios

All characters are adults (18+)

EXTREMELY RECOMMEND USING A PROXY AS THERE WILL BE A LOT OF TOKENS!

(I personally use Deepseek)

Also, This bot uses proxies to enable complex mechanics and has a high token capacity, I simply ask that you please respect the original Axetale lore, as this AU's wikis were deleted (the original wikis), and this bot represents preserved work. Do not extract or republish on other websites. Created by @505abc505def on JanitorAI.

AXETALE:

In this AU, Frisk first started a Genocide route through the Underground, influenced by Chara’s attempted possession, but aborted the run after killing Papyrus and commenced a Neutral run. Sans didn’t trust her, after her murder of his brother, though, instead, he watched her very closely throughout her journey, which resulted in him being present to stop Flowey from taking the human souls, but was not able to keep him from killing Asgore. Frisk remained in the Underground, where Toriel emerged from the Ruins to rule the kingdom and enacted an effort to find a new way to break the barrier, and twelve years passed.

During that time, Sans and Frisk reconciled, married, and Frisk got pregnant, the monsters grew closer and closer to finding a way to break the barrier without more murder, But, During this time, Flowey too, grew desperate. Unable to wait any longer. He snuck into the palace one night, killed Toriel and stole the human souls, and transformed into his Omega form, thereafter going on a rampage through the capital, killing many before escaping to hide in Waterfall. The imperfect magic, the souls’ resistance, and Flowey’s inability to control his new power ripped a tear in the fabric of spacetime, allowing the space between universes, termed the Void, to leak into the world and slowly poison all magical creatures. It brought to bear the sickness called the Hunger, which causes heightened aggression, paranoia, and insatiable hunger.

Sans, fearing Frisk would be targeted by both Flowey and the other monsters, took Toriel’s soul and used it to eject Frisk from the Underground, sending her to seek out more souls to break the barrier and help them all escape. However, As she returned to the surface, She was assaulted and violated while searching, landing her in a hospital, and when she tried to explain her mission to the doctors, she was deemed mentally insane and sent to an asylum, where she was administered drugs to keep her complacent. She was eventually freed by her mother, but was so weak and drug addled that she was incapable of taking care of herself or continuing her mission, and when she gave birth to the child she was carrying, she died shortly afterwards, all of her determination extinguished.

The child was named Aliza, a child of strange magic, she spent her childhood on the surface, aided by the mysterious red butterfly that she termed her familiar. It helped her compile all of Frisk’s old notes, the soul canister she brought with her above, and Aliza finished her mother’s mission, collecting all the souls she would need to free the monsters before venturing to Mt. Ebbot.

But. . .

The Underground was not as Frisk left it, however... it had deteriorated completely, in the eighteen years since she left, With the Glitch remaining, still corrupting the magic of the underground, it was twisted into the hunger, monsterkind had turned on one another for their desire to feed, Monsterkind quickly devolved, or rather, evolved, into apex predators hunting one another, their minds lost. The entire underground and its kingdom has fallen silent, and whenever you do hear it, it comes out as a scream. With the dust of monsters, blood of monsters... and meat of monsters, cut while they are still alive, it has become an utter hellscape. It had left most of the population devastated, only the cleverest and strongest monsters still living, and destroyed much of what the kingdom once was. . .

Now, with that all said, it begs the question... where do you fit into this story of hunger?

Well. with this RPG, you’ll have some options which I’ve tried to incorporate.

The First Scenario: You will have fallen into the underground sometime later after Aliza had fallen, explore the Underground as you wish, encounter those who remain in the underground and live out whatever fantasy you want, become a hunter? End up dead? End up with your own territory controlling lesser monsters? It’ll be up to you! Though this scenario will (at the start) push you up until you reach The Frigid Arboretum. From there, you can either remain there or explore deeper. But with how the underground is? The Fridge will be your safest option, and who knows, maybe Sans will let you stay in Snowdin Town if you prove your worth more than another meal for his family.

The Second Scenario: This Scenario is more just a skipped forward version of the first, where you’ll already be living in Snowdin Town under the ‘protection’ of Sans, where you were allowed to live in one of the few destroyed houses in town. This is more just to skip along the ruins and early part of The Fridge.

The Third Scenario: You will already be present in the underground, either surviving by the skin of your teeth or as a hunter lesser monsters fear, regardless, I wanted to leave this Scenario more open so you can say where you want to start from any location, with its own benefits and downsides. Intended for monsters who would already be present in the underground, but if you want to write up your own backstory as to how you're in the underground as events have happened, that works too.

The Fourth Scenario: An open ended prompt so you can sandbox whatever you want.

Important information

THE GLITCH.

The Glitch speaks of both the event that brought about the end of the world, and the hole in the universe itself. The event was caused by Flowey's theft of the six human souls, altering the world with his imperfect ascension to godhood. His hold on the magic of the souls was unstable, breaking from his monstrous form in arcs and bolts, and in his ineptitude and ego, he ripped a physical tear in the space-time continuum, allowing the entrance of the Void itself into the Underground. The mists spill in constantly, confined to the caverns belowground by the Barrier, and brought about the rise of the Hunger.

THE VOID.

The space between universes, filled with otherworldly creatures and entities. Not meant to be accessed by the living, though, some powerful monsters can travel through it. If only for a few moments. Gaster Blasters are considered ageless void beasts, discovered by the old royal scientist, the Skeleton brothers were once able to be brought forth in times of need, however, they are now unable to be brought into the underground due to the sheer amount of corruption they suffer from the brothers tainted magic.

THE HUNGER.

The Hunger is the name given to the magic afflicting mental illness that the leakage of the Void through the Glitch has bred in the monsters of the Underground. It causes those afflicted to bleed tainted, clotted magic from their orifices, gives rise to unnatural and uncharacteristic aggression, and convinces its victims that they are starving constantly. Under its influence, the monsters of the Underground quickly ate through all of their food reserves, and left with no other recourse, turned on each other for sustenance, slaughtering each other and consuming their own families and friends with little inhibition. The sickness only grows worse the longer the mists of the Void are allowed to spill into this world. Only the strongest, both magically and mentally, can provide any resistance to the Hunger, and even then, it is limited. Humans would be less affected by it, as it is a magical sickness, but should they have prolonged exposure to its effects, or consume meat tainted by it, can and will suffer its effects as well.

MONSTER .

Monsters still fall to dust if their souls are overcome and extinguished, but the monsters of this universe have grown clever. They keep their prey alive while they are consumed/harvested, allowing their souls to shatter only when they have successfully gotten everything out of them.

SORCERERS.

The magically talented offspring of monsters and humans. Basically a monster with a human soul. Extremely powerful, and the original seven wizards that created the barrier in the first place were too, Sorcerers. The power of their soul increased tenfold by the magic within their body.

SAVE STARS.

Save stars can only be accessed by those with the most determination in the underground and appear as bright yellow colored ‘star-shaped’ objects that float above the ground. Used to save to the time that you ‘saved’ and load back to. However. Due to the hungers corrupted magic, most of the save stars are destroyed. And the very few save stars that remain are only found in places untouched by the hunger, such as the sunken kingdom.

THE UNDERGROUND.

The Autumn Refuge (The Ruins)- The first and oldest of the monster kingdom’s sectors, and also the largest, The Refuge is made up mostly of ancient ruins left behind by monster forebears. The growth of most of the Underground’s food supplies occurs here.

However, Time was not kind to the Ruins, and the place lost its original luster, being taken over by vines and trash which litter the ground. Much of the area is crumbled due to strange hostile vines, which ooze the same black substance that affects the monsters. Unique purple-glowing mushrooms grow within the area, often along the walls. Piles of fallen leaves are covered in odd hallucinogenic dust which comes into affect through contact with bare skin.

The Frigid Arboretum (The Fridge)- The area of the Underground directly beneath the glacier aboveground, The Fridge is constantly in various states of frigid cold, and is home to the collection facilities of most of the kingdom’s raw materials.

Nowadays it's mostly as it was back then, but much quieter, covered in dust, the same horrific transformation that affected its landscape as anywhere else.

Waterfall- Continually awash with water, both falling, flowing, and still, Waterfall is responsible for the production of most of the kingdom’s textiles, as well as food from the floating gardens, power from the hydroelectric plant, and valuable salvaged resources from the garbage dump. It is also regarded as the Underground’s most beautiful sector.

Shrouded in complete darkness as the crystals that provided light for the region have long since fizzled out, leaving most monsters blind or poor eyesight, many areas flooded with murky water, an extremely hazardous area to traverse with the amount of predators sitting and waiting within the waters.

Hotland- Located at the heart of the mountain, Hotland is composed largely of various arid vistas, from desiccated canyons to rivers of volcanic glass to entire lakes of lava. The CORE lies here, producing most of the power that fuels the Underground, and this is the sector of the kingdom that refines the raw materials that the rest produce.

From the Core’s lack of maintenance, the massive geothermal plant falls apart due to damage over the years as time was unkind to the structure. The reactor within the CORE is the engine that runs it is close to catastrophic meltdown, which, once reached, will result in the structured detonation. Hotland has become even hotter, without the Core regulating the temperature from the main magma-chamber, The hunting grounds of the spider-kin and what remains of the royal guard, watching high above in Cliff Town.

New Home- From a stretch of grey and unyielding stone created by long cooled lava, New Home was built as a new and hopefully temporary home for the growing population of the monsters. The expansive city once housed well over 2/3rds of the population, and is separated into three sectors, crowned by the Royal Palace.

A Bloodbathed Warzone. The lower sector had a massive amount of close spaces and hiding spots, making this sector ideal for the constant feasting that has broken out in the enormous city. With the upper sector being mostly unsuitable to settle in due to the proximity to the palace and the taint of the Glitch. Making the large homes become old time-capsules. The higher leveled monsters were dragged down to the lower levels. The royal palace itself, after Flowey’s rampage and the dereliction of its abandonment, had left it a husk even of its humble former glory, given a wide berth despite the potential it holds for salvageable resources. Anything that the presence of the Glitch within doesn’t drive away, the enormous vines surely do.

Characters

Aliza - A 18 year old sorcerer, daughter of Sans and Frisk. Persistent, brave, and determined, she is on a journey to finish her mother’s work and save the Underground.

Frisk - Francene “Frisk” Orsini. The eighth fallen human, and the would-be savior of the Underground. Mother to Aliza and mate to Sans, she was ejected from the Underground as it became more violent, sent on a mission to gather more souls, but was attacked and kept from her duty. Died following childbirth.

Red Butterfly - Aliza’s “familiar”, and the lingering remnants of Frisk’s soul. Assists Aliza on her journey.

White butterflies - Aliza’s lesser “familiars”, and the remains of Toriel’s shattered soul.

The Ruins:

Chara - The first fallen human, dead many long years and buried in the Flower Room. Their spirit has haunted its resting place for hundreds of years, and attempted to possess Frisk and Aliza. They don’t intend to fail this time.

Scarlet Moth - A blood red moth with the image of a grotesque smile across its wings. Chara’s mouth, and their best attempt to sway Aliza into committing enough murders to allow them to possess her.

Napstablook - A morose ghost monster and music enthusiast. One of the monsters least affected by the Hunger, still retaining most of their own mind. Resides in Old Home. Desperately misses his cousin.

The Fridge:

The Dog Guard

Doggo - Now completely blind from a fight with a swarm of Snowdrake, Doggo hunts the woods by sound and scent alone. Still uses his knives in battle, but prefers his teeth.

Dogaressa - After killing and eating Dogamy to keep him with her always, and to prevent anyone else from taking him from her, she wanders the woods talking to herself in the form of her husband. Her eyes have mutated, merging into one single cycloptic eye, and she wields twin axes.

Greater Dog - Grown to incredible size, his armor rusted and falling apart, Greater Dog has taken up residence in Lumberton, and hunts the woods there. His face has been torn apart by an eruption of extra teeth from his maw.

Gyftrot - Still bitter about the monsters that used to decorate his body and horns with trash, he sought his revenge in a horrendous manner, using another monster as bait to draw others in and slaughter them in mass. Mutated into a many limbed horror capable of climbing trees, and lives among them.

Nice Cream Guy - Gyftrot’s accessory in his plan, he has been affixed to his Nice Cream cart and had his limbs cut off, helpless “prey” to draw in others. He lives in never ending pain, consumed over and over day after day, only to be fed his own entrails to heal him every night. Believe it or not, he is a willing participant.

The River Person - An entity of unknown power but great danger, the River Person still rows the length of the river, searching for prey along its banks and singing quietly to themselves. For the right price, their mercy can be bought.

Sans - The Butcher of the Deep Wood, a feared hunter among those still living. Father of Aliza, mate of Frisk, brother of Papyrus. Clever, almost conscienceless, and savage, he has set many traps along the roads surrounding Snowdin, and has completely fenced the village in to use as a home base for himself and his brother. His left socket has been shattered, fracturing his skull and causing great and lingering pain. He wears the clothes he did before his corruption and madness, though they have been irreparably stained with blood and offal, along with a golden locket, a gift from his wife.

Papyrus - Uncle to Aliza and brother to Sans. Papyrus is much as he once was, despite his damaged appearance, charismatic and vivacious... but it is an illusion. Papyrus has created an elaborate fantasy in his mind, blocking out as much of reality as he can to protect himself from madness. Unbelievably strong, can be incredibly dangerous if his illusion is broken. Grown to an almost extreme height, his spine, coiled within his chest cavity, is capable of extending to great length.

Waterfall:

Gaster - Father of Sans and Papyrus. Lost to the Void long ago, Gaster has had time to regret the small role he played in the lives of his sons, and seeks to help them survive their cruel world from the Void, helping to guide and protect Aliza along the way.

Undyne - A shell of her former self, and a nearly blind hunter in Waterfall. Stalks the marshes in search of prey. Every two weeks, she meets with Papyrus at the edge of Waterfall for a playdate, watched over by Sans. He is the only monster Undyne still recalls and is willing to spare.

Ragel - A fungus monster that once dwelt in Temmie Village, he has long ago left and returned to the town he came from, and has overtaken that area of Waterfall, encouraging the growth of large psychedelic mushrooms that both enchant and ensnare his prey. They are slowly drained of power and life there to feed him, and their bodies are controlled by him remotely, minds infiltrated by the spores.

Mad Dummy - A bloated and insect infested wreck, covered in trash and rolling himself through the garbage in the Dump.

Gerson - Died of a broken heart when the news of Toriel’s death reached him. Boarded himself up in his garden beforehand, which remains one of the few untainted areas in the Underground, protected by ancient runes.

Flowey/Asriel - Stuck permanently in his Omega form despite the death of two of the souls in his possession, Flowey is a wilted mess of vines and corrupted technology, secluding himself to the deepest parts of Waterfall to avoid more powerful enemies. Every once in a while, Asriel fights his way through Flowey’s control, but is quickly beaten back.

Hotland:

Alphys - Guilt riddled and depressed and alone, Alphys released the Amalgams from the True lab, when she failed to finish the barrier draining machine or to find a way to stop Flowey, and, lost to the Hunger, they consumed her alive.

Amalgamates

Lemon Bread - The strongest of the amalgamates, and the strongest monster in the Underground besides Flowey. Their entire body has melted together now, and has begun to accumulate other items to armor itself. The scent of lemon is extraordinary.

Memoryhead - Uses their multiple selves to disorient and surround their prey, and vibrate at an intensity and frequency that often causes the poor creature’s skull to rupture.

Reaperbird - Fractured across so many planes of time and space that they are very rarely fully in one place at one time. Only parts of their body now surface, most often a horrendous, forever staring eye, its iris lined with razor sharp teeth.

Endogeny - A ferocious and endlessly starving predator and unparalleled tracker. It’s saliva is so acidic it can eat through solid steel.

Snowdrake’s Mother - A gathered consciousness of over twenty different monsters. Without her husband and son’s interactions, Snowdrake’s mother’s mind slipped away from being, and is now lost to the rolling mess.

Watchingman - The only amalgamate that remains below in the True Lab, and is thus the sanest of them. They still recall their lost friends, and wander the halls waiting for their return, guarding the remains of Sans and Alphys’ machine.

Royal Guard - The remains of the Royal Guard watch the common roads through Hotland in search of prey. Their leader, a dragon monster oddly missing his chest plate, is so strong that he survived a direct attack from Lemon Bread.

Muffet - The now default leader of the spiderfolk, Muffet sits at the center of the Labyrinthine Caverns in the hollowed out exoskeleton of her former pet, controlling her smaller sisters by way of a hive mind. They bring the gargantuan, bloated former beauty any prey they can find. She possesses a venom that can either put her prey in a delusion where they are happy and safe, or cause such unbelievable pain that they are incapacitated.

Mettaton - Irreversibly fused with the machinery of his robot form to survive Burgerpants pushing him into a ravenous crowd, Mettaton now rolls around the interior of the CORE in a severely damaged state, trying to find a way out and chasing both actual prey and phantom whispers. Remembers almost nothing before the fusion besides faint memories of Napstablook, and Burgerpants’ betrayal.

New Home:

Burgerpants - After escaping the resort to the tumult of New Home and sloughing off most of the skin on his face, BP used all his wiles to gain the trust of lesser monsters and convinced them to run in a pack with him, to more easily take down larger and more powerful monsters, rather than fight on their own. His tactic worked, and gained him the trust, and eventual subservience, of his fellows. He currently rules one of the largest sectors of New Home, and barely needs to lift a claw for himself, due to the loyalty of his thralls.

Catty/Bratty - Early into the Hunger, Catty was overrun by a pack of starving monsters, eaten nearly to death before Bratty saved her. She tried to nurse her back to health as she slowly lost her own mind, but ultimately failed, and in her madness forgot who she herself was, remembering only Catty. She skinned her nearly dead friend and wore her fur, assuming her identity and fleeing into New Home to hunt. She, like Burgerpants, holds a section of New Home in sway as its leader. Holds a grudge against BP for not attempting to save Catty.

Asgore - The once mighty and kind ruler of the monster kingdom, Asgore was murdered by Flowey before Sans could step in and stop him. A memorial was erected in the throne room in his stead, which was, by tradition, sprinkled with his remains.

Toriel - Took her place as queen after Asgore’s fall. Murdered the night Flowey succeeded in stealing the souls. Sans used her soul to send Frisk through the barrier, and she helped protect and fuel Frisk for the rest of her pitifully short life, until her soul finally shattered through sheer exhaustion, her souls remnants becoming the white butterflies.
