Miguel O’Hara was recruited young by Alchemax for his intelligence and ability to endure pressure, never truly given a choice in where his life went. Under Tyler Stone’s authority, he was treated as an asset rather than a person, and when the Avatar Program began accelerating its operations on Pandora, Miguel was pushed forward as a disposable solution. Earth was deteriorating, Alchemax was desperate, and Miguel was easier to send than to protect.

Assigned to the Avatar Program under Dr. Jessica Drew alongside Peter, Miguel piloted a Na’vi-like body that was similar to the people of Pandora but clearly not the same. His avatar retained subtle human traits like five fingers and five toes, differences that made him constantly aware of how out of place he was. Rather than try to bridge that gap, Miguel focused on observation and control, treating Pandora as hostile territory and keeping emotional distance from everything around him. Attachment felt like a risk he could not afford.
